Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager to serve as the glue between our customers, product vision, and development team. This role owns the customer feedback loop end to end. From onboarding and support to product insights and delivery.

You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, translate real-world feedback into clear product direction, and partner with the development team to prioritize and implement improvements. Your work directly shapes the evolution of Plan-It and ensures we build the right things for the right reasons.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer questions, support needs, and onboarding
• Own customer onboarding and implementation, ensuring customers are set up for long-term success
• Maintain ownership of customer issues from initial request through resolution
• Act as the voice of the customer internally by collecting, synthesizing, and prioritizing feedback, feature requests, and pain points
• Translate customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, or enhancement requests
• Partner closely with the development team to scope, prioritize, and implement product improvements
• Help define and maintain the product roadmap based on customer impact, business priorities, and development capacity
• Communicate product updates, timelines, and tradeoffs clearly to internal teams and customers
• Identify recurring issues and work proactively to reduce them through product or workflow improvements
• Maintain and improve customer-facing documentation and product guidance
• Support sales and onboarding by providing product clarity and ensuring smooth handoffs
• Maintain accurate customer records and insights within CRM and product tools

Who You Are
• Experience in product management, customer success, or product-focused support roles
• Strong ability to listen to customers and distill feedback into clear, actionable insights
• Comfortable working directly with development teams to define and prioritize work
• Clear communicator who can explain product decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• High ownership mentality with strong follow-through
• Organized, thoughtful, and proactive in managing competing priorities
• Familiarity with SaaS products, CRMs, and product or support tools
• Comfort working with public-sector or government-adjacent organizations
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes evolve over time

Compensation
• This is a 1099 independent contractor role, starting on a part-time basis
• Hourly compensation, commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility
• Opportunity to increase hours, compensation, and scope of responsibility over time based on performance and business needs
• This role is not eligible for benefits at this time; contractor is responsible for their own taxes and insurance
